Welcome to Kinder Cookhouse, a small family run business with a passion for creating beautiful children’s toys from our studio in the heart of the British countryside.
Founded by designer and mother of two young children Nichola Keidel-Doggrell, who Inspired by her travels to foreign lands set out to create an exquisite range of timeless pretend play felt food with influences from Parisian Patisseries, farmers markets and traditional green grocers.
With passion at the heart of everything we do, each of our toys are designed with open ended play in mind. Supporting children in expressing their creativity, strengthening their cognitive, language and social skills in the process.
We believe childhood is a magical time and the founding principle of the business has always been to inspire the imagination and creativity of all generations and to bring family together through play.

Our values are the essence of our identity, they are our guiding principles that underpin everything we do.
MAGIC
There is something magical about being a child. The world is new, full of enchantment and make believe and everything is an adventure. We put our heart and soul into creating toy's that bring the magic to childhood. We embrace everyone and value diversity and all the benefits it brings and through our toys we harness the power of open-ended play where children are free to dream wildly.
FAMILY
As a family business we are all about bringing family together. Children remember times when parents and other loving adults join in the fun of their make believe. Some of my own favourite childhood memories are those of my mother pretending to be a customer in my play shop or bakery. Taking the time to join with children in their imaginary worlds is a great way to connect with them and nurture their playfulness, plus it allows us to activate our own creativity and have fun too.
CREATIVITY
Creativity is the freest form of self-expression. Through creative activities such as role-playing and imaginative play children’s imagination is free to create whatever possibilities it chooses. It provides them with the opportunity to try out new ideas, new ways of thinking and problem solving. Here at Kinder Cookhouse we lovingly encourage this imagination and wonder as we believe it helps us celebrate each child’s uniqueness.
HAND CRAFTED
We believe in celebrating the passion and environmental benefits behind small businesses. When you buy handcrafted, you are supporting an artisan and the skill they practice. You know they are passionate about their craft; each item being made with love, care and attention to detail to create something to be treasured.
CHARITIES
We love to give back to our community and are delighted to be able to work with local charities through various activities and fundraisers to enhance learning opportunities in schools.
